P Chidambaram questions Modi government

New Delhi / Correspondent

Is the Central Government a customer of the NSO Group in Israel, a company that develops and sells espionage equipment; What is the reason for the Central Government to object to this question at present; This question has been asked by senior Congress leader and former Home Minister P Chidambaram to the Modi government.

40 countries and 60 security agencies around the world are clients of NSO group.  Is the Government of India one of these 40; This is my simple question. Why should the Central Government find it so difficult to give a straight answer to this question at present; That is what Chidambaram has said.

According to international media, 300 mobile phones in India were spying using this system. The list includes 40 leaders, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister Pralhad Singh Patel, Ashwini Vaishnav, industrialist Anil Ambani, a former head of the Central Bureau of Investigation, a former chief election commissioner and 40 journalists.
