The Lok Sabha has been adjourned indefinitely due to chaos among the members. Out of 96 working hours during this rainy season, 74 hours have been wasted due to chaos. During this period 17 meetings were held and only 21 hours and 14 minutes of work has been completed. The proceedings of the House did not go as expected, lamented Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Birla noted that the House could not function because of the chaos in the House by opposition members who were aggressive on the Pegasus, new agricultural laws and other issues. During this period, a total of 20 Bills, including the 127th Amendment Bill, were passed. Four new members were sworn in. During this time 66 star questions were answered. At this time, 22 ministers presented their views.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress President Sonia Gandhi were present in the House today. Chairman Birla informed about the demise of 4 members and a tribute was paid to them. The House adjourned after the Speaker's speech.
