Maharashtra Government Partners with Kinetic Green’s Sulajja Firodia Motwani to Empowering Pink E-Rickshaw Scheme

In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at women’s empowerment and sustainable mobility, the Maharashtra government has joined forces with Kinetic Green, led by visionary entrepreneur Sulajja Firodia Motwani, for the Pink E-Rickshaw Scheme. The program seeks to transform the lives of 10,000 women micro-entrepreneurs by providing them with eco-friendly e-rickshaws, financial support, and training.

A Visionary Collaboration for Women’s Empowerment
The scheme was officially inaugurated in Nagpur by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Minister of Women and Child Development Aditi Tatkare. The initiative aligns with the state’s commitment to fostering gender equality, green energy adoption, and livelihood creation at the grassroots level.

Sulajja Firodia Motwani, CEO of Kinetic Green, expressed pride in the partnership, stating, “We are honored to be the exclusive implementation partner for this transformative project. Our goal is not just to provide vehicles but to build a sustainable ecosystem that empowers women with financial independence and skills.”

Key Features of the Pink E-Rickshaw Scheme
- Training & Licensing: Kinetic Green is conducting specialized training programs to help women beneficiaries obtain driving licenses and operate e-rickshaws safely.
- Easy Financing: Collaborations with leading banks and financiers ensure affordable loan options for women entrepreneurs.
- Last-Mile Connectivity: An exclusive partnership with MahaMetro will enable women drivers to offer last-mile transport solutions for metro commuters.
- Robust Support Network: A dedicated service, spare parts, and charging infrastructure will be maintained through Kinetic Green’s dealer network.

Expanding Green Mobility Across India

Kinetic Green has a proven track record in similar initiatives:
- Uttar Pradesh: 10,000 e-rickshaws distributed to cycle rickshaw pullers.
- Andhra Pradesh & Tamil Nadu:*5,000 e-carts deployed for waste management.
- Odisha: Hundreds of e-autos provided to micro-entrepreneurs.

A Step Towards a Greener, More Inclusive Future
The Pink E-Rickshaw Scheme is more than just a transportation project—it’s a movement toward clean energy, women’s economic freedom, and sustainable urban mobility. As Sulajja Motwani remarked, “We are blessed to drive this green transition while uplifting communities at the bottom of the pyramid.”

With Maharashtra leading the way, this initiative could serve as a blueprint for other states to replicate, combining environmental responsibility with social impact.
