Priyanka Chaturvedi is ready to join Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party. Priyanka Chaturvedi has met Parth Pawar and Praful Patel. She has also expressed her eagerness to join the party. Her Rajya Sabha term ends in the next 11 months. Last week, Priyanka had praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a podcast, and there is talk in political circles that all this was a planned effort to bid farewell to Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray.
It is being reported that Priyanka Chaturvedi will change parties during the monsoon session. She will join Ajit Pawar's NCP on the condition that she will remain as an MP. If Priyanka Chaturvedi goes with Ajit Pawar, it will be considered a big blow to Thackeray.
Both the NCP (Sharad Pawar) and Shiv Sena (UBT) parties do not have sufficient numbers. Therefore, the chances of these leaders getting re-elected to the Rajya Sabha are very low. In this assembly election, the Mahavikas Aghadi could not even reach the mark of 50.
After the defeat in the Maharashtra assembly election, the Mahavikas Aghadi suffered a big blow. Priyanka Chaturvedi and Sanjay Raut of the NCP (Sharad Pawar) and Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh) will not be able to go to the Rajya Sabha again. Sharad Pawar and Priyanka Chaturvedi were elected on April 3, 2020 for a six-year term. Raut was elected in July 2022. The terms of both Pawar and Chaturvedi end on April 3, 2026, while Raut's term ends on July 22, 2028.
