Pravin Shinde
To understand Babasaheb, we must first cross the caste barriers and become humanists. Because Babasaheb has taken every decision in his life on the same criteria. Modern India has been created from it, that is why we as Indians can never be free from his debt. And if we want to be free, we should at least follow his thoughts. It is very difficult to calculate Babasaheb's life, in fact, we do not have the ability to reconcile it.
Babasaheb got a life of 65 years that he got in abundance. Out of which 30 years were spent in education, during which Ambedkar obtained Ph.D. degrees in economics from educational institutions like Columbia University and the London School of Economics, and he also did research on the subjects of law, economics and political science.
Babasaheb got only 25 years for writing and movement, in which his health was not at all good due to his occupation and running around, in such a short period of time, this man started many magazines to create awareness on various social and political issues. Among them, the major magazines are Mooknayak, Bahishkrit Bharat, Janata, Samata and Prabuddha Bharat.
This man wrote 23 books, more than any other political leader in India. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar has written. A total of 23 completed books and booklets, 10 incomplete books, 10 statements or testimonials, 10 research papers, articles and essays are the collection of Ambedkar's English writings. Ambedkar was a versatile genius. He was a scholar who knew Marathi, Sanskrit, Pali, English, Hindi, French, German, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada and Parsi languages, he wrote hundreds of articles and gave speeches.
Without losing this grip on writing, this man led many movements and agitations for social justice, including Mahad Satyagraha, Manusmriti Dahan, Chavdar Tale, Kalaram Temple Movement, Excluded Benevolent Sabha, establishment of Independent Labour Party, establishment of Scheduled Caste Federation, establishment of educational institutions, establishment of political parties and elections, Round Table Conference, and traveled thousands of miles. In the last century, not a single leader among us, let alone Babasaheb, has been able to go around him in his work.
There were no modern tools like airplanes, helicopters like today, no media, no electronic media to reach followers, no Whatsapp to send messages or no phone to talk, yet he connected millions of people across the country, Babasaheb reached every village outside the village, in every movement he called, the policies of Mahatma Gandhi, Mahatma Phule, and Buddha's thoughts are visible. Because he delivered the message to the villages during that time, inspiring education to the marginalized, illiterate, oppressed by injustice, and deprived of human dignity.
What language would there be, from whose speech those in the village, who did not look up, would have stood directly against the system, that is why Babasaheb is long live....and he will remain forever.
