If Youth Take Initiative, Job Creation is Possible: Anand Deshpande(Founder and Managing Director of Persistent Systems)

Hard Work and Creativity Lead Rural Entrepreneurs to Success: Satyajit Tambe

Pune(Nitin Sindhu VY): There are abundant work opportunities in the country, but there is a shortage of jobs. No government can create jobs for everyone. Only when the youth take the initiative to generate employment opportunities will jobs be created. Therefore, the younger generation should not chase jobs but instead work diligently, persistently, and energetically in the entrepreneurial sector, asserted Dr. Anand Deshpande, Founder and Managing Director of Persistent Systems, here today (1st).

The ‘Rural Entrepreneurs Connect Initiative’, aimed at empowering entrepreneurs in rural Maharashtra, was launched today in the presence of Dr. Deshpande and MLA Satyajit Tambe. This initiative was conceptualized by Sagar Babar, Chairman of Comsense Technologies, and Sachin Itkar, Vice President of Maharashtra Economic Development Council. During the event, Sagar Babar conducted an open interview with Dr. Deshpande and Tambe.

Both Dr. Deshpande and Tambe expressed strong opinions on entrepreneurship. The event, held at the Press Club’s auditorium, saw an overwhelming response from young entrepreneurs and students.

The occasion was graced by Bharat Gite, Managing Director and CEO of Torul India, and Ganesh Nibe, Chairman and Managing Director of Nibe Group, as chief guests. The logo of the ‘Rural Entrepreneurs Connect Initiative’ was unveiled by the dignitaries.

Dr. Deshpande stated that an entrepreneur must understand the societal need and unique features of their product. The product’s quality must be excellent in the market. Proper financial management, understanding customer demand, and sales skills can drive entrepreneurial growth.

He emphasized that adopting new technology, exploring market opportunities, and thorough financial planning can help entrepreneurs succeed in various fields. In today’s era, one must continuously evolve their field of work. Instead of seeking jobs, young entrepreneurs should focus on creating job opportunities by leveraging technology. Half-baked knowledge and inadequate education will not lead to success in entrepreneurship.

Without small entrepreneurs, the country’s progress is impossible. If the corporate sector and the government work together, new employment opportunities will emerge. Rural youth, who work hard without fear of adversity, are sure to succeed in entrepreneurship, said MLA Satyajit Tambe.

With rapid advancements in technology, large entrepreneurs are leveraging new innovations, leading to fewer job opportunities. Rural youth have the determination to succeed despite challenges. Hence, they must be provided opportunities to start businesses, giving direction to their creativity. Although many government schemes exist for new entrepreneurs, loan disbursement faces hurdles due to mindset issues. The mentality that loans taken under government schemes need not be repaid but can be defaulted must change, Tambe stressed.

In his introductory speech, Sachin Itkeer explained the vision behind the ‘Rural Entrepreneurs Connect Initiative’, which aims to bring industrial reforms to Maharashtra and provide business opportunities to rural entrepreneurs.

Sagar Babar shared that this initiative encourages rural entrepreneurs to step into practical fields while addressing their challenges. The organization will operate on four pillars: education, finance, technology, and market opportunities.

Ganesh Nibe and Bharat Gite also shared their thoughts. The event was hosted by Shilpa Deshpande.
