Bungalow built by digging a mountain, used gold for decoration!
Former Chief Minister's 'Sheesh Mahal' on the radar
Andhra Pradesh : Arvind Kejriwal's Sheesh Mahal was a hot topic of discussion in the Delhi assembly elections. Now, a similar Sheesh Mahal has started being discussed in Andhra Pradesh in South India. This very luxurious bungalow has been built on an area of 10 acres. The decoration has been done with gold. The bungalow has been carved in shiny Italian marble. The state's affairs were run from this bungalow. But what exactly happened that this bungalow has come into the news? Who exactly does the bungalow belong to? Were the rules really set on the roof to build the bungalow? Let's find out about this information..
This bungalow with all the facilities on 10 acres in a remote area of Visakhapatnam is known as Rashikonda Palace in Andhra Pradesh. This palace or Sheesh Mahal belongs to the former Chief Minister of the state, Jagan Moha Reddy. When Jagan Reddy was in power, this bungalow was his office and residence. A network of basic amenities has been created around this bungalow. Smooth roads, water drainage system and a 100 KV electricity substation are here. It is said that about Rs 500 crore was spent for this. In some places, this figure is being said to be 600 crore.
Half of the mountain was dug up
Some photos of the interior of this bungalow have gone viral on social media. It is being alleged that rules were violated to build the bungalow. Almost half of the beautiful Rashikonda hill was dug up to build the bungalow. This has raised many questions related to the environment. According to official records, the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests had approved it on May 19, 2021 under the Tourism Development Project. But the opposition parties have alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy's government constructed this bungalow without considering the law.
Bungalow on Naidu government's radar
This very grand bungalow was built when Jagan Reddy was the Chief Minister. But now there is a government led by Chandrababu Naidu in the state. Naidu's TDP party is also in power at the Centre. The Naidu administration is alleging that public property was misused during the Jagan government. It is likely that more than 600 crores were spent on the construction of Sheesh Mahal and providing basic facilities. But the then minister in the Jagan Reddy government, Gudivada Amarnath, has denied all the allegations and claimed that the bungalow was built legally.
