Politics on partnership between Starlink and telecom companies!

After Airtel, Jio also announced its partnership with Starlink yesterday. The heat has been intensified in the country's politics. Opposition Congress has accused Prime Minister Modi that PM Modi has taken this step to avoid Trump's tariff policy and stay in his goodwill.

Jio announced its partnership with Starlink on Wednesday and Airtel on Tuesday. This is why the political heat of the country has been intensified. In this case, the Congress, sitting in the opposition, targeted the central government fiercely. The Congress on Thursday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced partnerships with both Starlink, Airtel and Jio to avoid US President Donald Trump's tariff policy and build good relations with him. So that they can get support from Trump. Congress says that behind this partnership is the hand of the Prime Minister, who is trying to strengthen ties with Trump through Elon Musk.

Simple target by Jairam Ramesh
In the matter, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh accused the central government that within just 12 hours, both Airtel and Jio announced their partnership with Starlink. He said that this removes the objections raised earlier on its entry into India. Ramesh said that it is absolutely clear that this partnership has been made by Prime Minister Modi through Elon Musk for the purpose of building good relations with Trump.

Ramesh raised questions on national security
Along with this, Congress leader Ramesh also said that many questions have arisen from this partnership, among which the most important question is related to national security. He asked who would have the right to switch connectivity on or off if national security required it, Starlink or its Indian partners? Also, will other satellite-based connectivity providers be allowed and on what basis?

Congress asked sharp questions on Starlink
At the same time, Congress also raised the question whether there will be any engagement for the production of Tesla in India, because after the entry of Starlink in India, this has become a big question. Mukesh Ambani's Jio platform has also struck a deal with Musk-led aerospace company SpaceX to bring Starlink's broadband internet services to India. The move came when there was a months-long debate over how spectrum rights should be given to Musk's venture. A day before this, Bharti Airtel had also announced a similar partnership with SpaceX.

What is Starlink SpaceX?
Notably, Starlink is the world's largest low-Earth-orbit (LEO) constellation operated by SpaceX, which provides high-speed Internet services. Last Tuesday, Bharti Airtel announced that it was entering into an agreement with SpaceX to bring Starlink's high-speed internet service to India.
