Researchers Must Ensure Their Work Benefits Humanity, Says Prof. Dr. Ashish Lele at 'Avishkar-2024-25' Inauguration
Pune : Prof. Dr. Ashish Lele, Director of the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) and senior scientist, emphasized the importance of researchers ensuring that their work benefits every human being in the world. He was speaking at the inauguration of the 17th university-level research conference 'Avishkar-2024-25' at Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Prof. Dr. Lele highlighted the significance of research being useful to society and benefiting humanity as a whole. He praised the Avishkar competition, noting that it brings together various streams of knowledge. He also emphasized the importance of researchers developing the skills to present their work to society.
The inauguration of Avishkar-2024-25 was chaired by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Parag Kalkar. The event saw the participation of students from various colleges in Pune city, Pune district, Nashik, and Ahilyanagar districts, with 300 projects being presented. A team of 27 subject experts evaluated the projects.
Prof. Dr. Lele's address was attended by several dignitaries, including Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Parag Kalkar, Acting Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Bhakere, Director of Internal Quality Assurance Cell Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Dhole, and Chairman of the Avishkar-2024-25 Committee Prof. (Dr.) Devidas Vaidande.
The Avishkar-2024-25 conference aims to provide a platform for young researchers to showcase their work and interact with experts in their field. The event is a testament to the university's commitment to promoting research and innovation among its students.
