Shinde did not come to Delhi as he had no work; is there any tension over cabinet expansion?
Maharashtra Cabinet Expansion on the Horizon, Says CM Devendra Fadnavis
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has assured that the cabinet expansion will take place soon, putting to rest speculations about tensions within the Mahayuti alliance. Fadnavis met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Thursday, where he discussed the state's economy and received assurances of full support from the Centre.
Fadnavis also addressed reports of disagreements over portfolio distribution, stating that there are no disputes within the alliance. He revealed that senior BJP leaders will take the final decision on ministerial posts, and that Ajit Pawar, Eknath Shinde, and BJP leaders will decide separately who to give a chance to in the cabinet.
The Chief Minister's comments come amidst speculation about the fate of Eknath Shinde, who is reportedly unhappy with the post of Home Minister. Fadnavis, however, downplayed these reports, saying that Shinde did not come to Delhi as he had no work there.
In other developments, Ajit Pawar met with Sharad Pawar and wished him a happy birthday, sparking speculation about the implications of this meeting. Fadnavis, however, described the meeting as a "good thing" and wished Sharad Pawar a long and healthy life.
With the cabinet expansion on the horizon, all eyes are now on the Mahayuti alliance as it navigates the complex process of portfolio distribution. Will the alliance be able to put aside its differences and present a united front? Only time will tell.
