Maharashtra's political landscape heated up today as Uddhav Thackeray, leader of the Thackeray group in Mahavikas Aghadi, launched a theme song for the upcoming assembly elections.
The song, "Mashal Hati De" (Hand Over the Torch to Slay the Asuras), was unveiled on the occasion of Ghatasthapana, marking the beginning of Navratri. The audio song, sung by renowned singer Nandesh, aims to inspire citizens to join the fight against injustice.
Addressing Shiv Sainiks, Uddhav Thackeray emphasized the need to convey the song's message to the people. "Today, Maharashtra faces chaos and impersonation. This song is our call to action to eradicate these evils."
Thackeray also took a dig at the current government, stating, "For two and a half years, we've knocked on the doors of justice, but justice remains elusive. We seek the blessings of Devi Jagdamba to bring about change."
The event saw a large gathering of Shiv Sainiks and leaders from the Thackeray group.
