Court Grants Relief to Pooja Khedkar, Protection from Immediate Arrest!

New Delhi : In a significant development, the court has granted relief to former IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, directing that she not be arrested until September 26. The court has also ordered a detailed investigation into the matter within ten days.

Pooja Khedkar had approached the court seeking protection from arrest in the case related to her termination from service due to allegedly submitting bogus documents to secure her UPSC rank job.

The court's order comes as a temporary reprieve for Khedkar, who has been embroiled in a controversy surrounding her eligibility for the civil services examination. The Delhi Police's Crime Branch had filed a report in the Delhi Court, alleging that Khedkar's disability certificate was fake and that she had changed her name and other information to gain an unfair advantage.

Khedkar has filed an affidavit in the Delhi court, claiming that she had appeared for the UPSC exam twelve times, with five attempts made from the disabled category. She has argued that her remaining seven attempts should not be considered invalid.

The UPSC has stated that an investigation into Khedkar's activities revealed violations of examination rules, including changes to her name and information.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for September 26.
