Political turmoil on CAA continues; BJP brought CAA for electoral benefits - Kejriwal
The central government has issued a notification to implement the Citizenship Amendment Act i.e. CAA. Along with this, the Citizenship Amendment Act has now been implemented across the country. After which politics has heated up. This decision of the central government is also facing criticism. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal today held a press conference on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He said that this vote bank banan ka khel hai, BJP is doing vote bank politics. Apart from this, Kejriwal while talking to the media said that there will be more migration now than what happened after independence. The Chief Minister claimed that law and order would break down and after that cases of theft, dacoity and rape would increase.
Attacking the BJP, the Chief Minister said that they are giving their country rights to Pakistanis. North Eastern states will suffer more from CAA. Other countries do not allow foreign people to come. BJP has brought CAA for electoral gains. BJP is preparing its vote bank. The demand of the country is that CAA should be withdrawn. The youth of the country are not getting employment. If BJP had worked in 10 years then they would not have needed to bring CAA before elections. About 2.5 crore to three crore minorities of Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan will be given citizenship in CAA. In India, inflation has broken the back, unemployment is at its peak, the youth are forced to scramble for jobs.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, 'Yeh CAA kya hai? The BJP government at the center is saying that if the minorities of the three countries Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan want to take Indian citizenship, then they will also be given citizenship. This means that a large number of people will be brought to our country. They will be given jobs and houses will be built for them. BJP cannot give jobs to our children but they want to give jobs to children from Pakistan. Our many people are homeless but BJP wants people from Pakistan to sit here. They want to give our jobs to many children. They want Pakistanis to sit in our right homes. The money of the Government of India should be used for the development of our families and the country. It will be used to take Pakistanis by bus.'
Kejriwal said that we will not let the people of other countries take the employment of our children in any condition. We will strongly oppose it. If they don't take it back, express your anger by voting against BJP in this election. For your children, you don't want to get jobs by calling Pakistanis. India is going backwards from the whole world. Poor people from other countries are being prevented from coming all over the world, we are opening our doors to them. Bring back those businessmen who left India, so that new factories can be opened and their children can get employment.
BJP said attack
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said that Kejriwal is speaking the language of Asaduddin Owaisi, Mamata Banerjee and Rahul Gandhi on CAA. They have hurt the dignity of Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians etc. refugees. Kejriwal has proved that he was anti-Hindu, Sikh, anti-Buddhist yesterday and will remain so. CAA is a law to give shelter to all the needy, to those persecuted by the jihadis, it will not take away the citizenship of anyone.
On Arvind Kejriwal's statement on CAA, BJP leader RS Prasad said, 'It does not deprive any Indian of his citizenship. CAA grants citizenship only to those who have been persecuted on the basis of their faith. I want to tell those who are trying to spread communal tension in the name of CAA to stop. Stop lying. I urge the parties of South India, especially Kerala and Tamil Nadu, to stop spreading hatred.'
