Uddhav Thackeray's Absence from Rahul Gandhi's Tour Sparks Political Speculation!

Mumbai : Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray's absence from Rahul Gandhi's recent visit to Sangli has fueled political talks, with some speculating that Thackeray is upset with the Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for not agreeing to announce a chief ministerial candidate.

Thackeray, whose party is an ally of the Congress in the Maha Vikas Aghadi, was noticeably absent from the event, where Rahul Gandhi unveiled a statue of late leader Patangrao Kadam. Other prominent leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge and Sharad Pawar, were present.

However, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has downplayed Thackeray's absence, citing a pre-planned event as the reason.

The incident has sparked speculation about Thackeray's displeasure with the alliance, particularly regarding the issue of announcing a chief ministerial candidate. Thackeray and Raut have been demanding that the Maha Vikas Aghadi announce its chief ministerial face ahead of the assembly elections.

The issue has exposed differences within the alliance, with Congress state president Nana Patole and senior leader Prithviraj Chavan opposing the announcement of a chief ministerial candidate before the elections. Sharad Pawar has maintained a suggestive silence on the issue.

Thackeray's absence has added to the speculation, with some seeing it as a sign of his displeasure with the alliance.
