Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU), Pune proudly hosted His Excellency Hemandoyal Dillam, High Commissioner of Mauritius on its campus on Saturday. The event focused on expanding international education partnerships. Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder Chairman, GTTC India attended the event as the Guest of Honour.

Chief Guest His Excellency Hemandoyal Dillam lauded PCU for its excellence in education. He emphasised the growth potential of the University and encouraged strengthening India-Mauritius cooperation. Dillam highlighted areas of potential partnerships including academic exchanges, research collaborations, student exchanges, international admissions and scholarships, internships, certification courses, faculty exchanges and joint degree programmes.

Guest of honour Dr. Gaurav Gupta appreciated the dedication of PCU under the Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust (PCET), which boasts a legacy of 33 years of educational excellence. He spoke about the promising future of the relationship with the University.

The distinguished guests were welcomed and celebrated by Dr. Girish Desai (Executive Director – PCET), Dr. Manimala Puri (Acting Vice Chancellor), Dr. Sudeep Thepde (Pro Vice Chancellor), and other eminent members of the PCET community. The event was coordinated by Zameer Mulla, Marketing Head, PCU. His Excellency H. Dillam delivered an inspiring speech that underlined the importance of exploring potential collaborative projects between Indian and Mauritian industries.

In his speech, Dillam emphasised the need to facilitate student exchange programmes, enabling students and faculty from both countries to experience diverse educational environments. The discussions also focused on strengthening international partnerships and collaborations in academia and industry, aiming to build a strong framework for mutual growth and progress. His Excellency Dillam also discussed global business markets, Indian education and important areas of collaboration.

The event was graced by the honourable Trust members of PCET including Mr. Dnyaneshwar P. Landge (President), Padma M. Bhosale (Vice President), Shantaram D. Garade (Treasurer), and Vithal S. Kalbhor (Secretary), Narendra Landge (Management Representative) and Ajinkya Kalbhor (Management Representative). Their support and presence underscored the importance of the occasion and the shared vision for a globally connected educational landscape.
